University of Lagos Final-Year Graduation Clearance Guide

Final-year undergraduate and postgraduate students who have written their final examinations and submitted project dissertations.

   Obtain Central Clearance Booklet / Form

   Download and print the official graduation clearance form from the UNILAG student portal.

   Departmental & Faculty Signoffs

   Get signed clearance from your academic supervisor, department examination officer, HOD, and Faculty Dean.

   Step 3

   Main Library & Sports Centre Clearance

   Present your library card to the University Library for return audit and obtain stamp from the Sports Centre.

   Bursary Audit & Student Affairs Confirmation

   Have your payment profile audited at Bursary Cash Office and submit keys at Student Affairs.

   Step 5

   Final Endorsement at Academic Affairs

   Submit the fully stamped booklet to Academic Affairs (Senate Building) to receive your Final Clearance Certificate.

If your transcript is going outside Nigeria, check the recipient's requirements first. Many international universities and evaluation services only accept transcripts sent directly by the institution.

Credential evaluators such as World Education Services (WES) usually require transcripts to come directly from the institution in a sealed envelope or through a verified electronic channel. Always include your WES reference number.
